Our dyslexia / Literacy Therapy Program
Focus Microschool has a team of Certified Academic Language Therapists! Our therapists provide dyslexia intervention to students identified with dyslexia or the characteristics of dyslexia.
Therapists are trained to:
- Implement therapeutic grade, Orton-Gillingham based, dyslexia intervention Take Flight and JET programs.
- Provide diagnostic, explicit, systematic Multisensory Structured Language.
- Builds a high degree of accuracy, knowledge, and independence for students with written language disorders including dyslexia and dysgraphia.
We offer therapy level intervention for dyslexia, dysgraphia, writing, and other reading difficulties.
We use a comprehensive, multisensory, structured language curriculum that addresses the following literacy components for students with characteristics of dyslexia and other reading difficulties:
- Phonemic Awareness
- Phonic skills
- Vocabulary
- Fluency
- Comprehension skills
- Spelling
- Handwriting
