Chris Reding was born and reared in Stillwater, OK and graduated from C. E. Donart High School. He was the Interscholastic English Champion for the State of Oklahoma in 1979! Wow!
He graduated from Oklahoma State University with a BS in Leisure Sciences, and completed graduate coursework in English and Secondary Education, working towar

He graduated from Oklahoma State University with a BS in Leisure Sciences, and completed graduate coursework in English and Secondary Education, working toward his teacher certification in HS English.
He went on to work in politics, as a training NCO in the Army, a Technical Writer at Mercruiser, and as County Commissioner for Payne County, OK.
He is married to Pam, his wife of 38 years, has five children, two grandchildren, three dogs and a cat.
